My Pirates

We had the pleasure of reserving sessions at The Pirates League in Magic Kingdom® for our THREE children.  I knew that DS would love it.  I also knew that DD(8) would want it, because DS got it.  And if DD(8)  got it, then how could I leave out DD(12)?  At the time I made the reservation, I couldn’t fathom paying $124.99 for the Captains Package, so I chose the First Mates packages.  And, normally this would be costly, even for the First Mates package at $49.99, but Disney has a promotion (Now through January 3, 2010) of 50% discount for Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members.  Woo Hoo! :-)

We absolutely loved it! I think that DH and I may have enjoyed it even more than the kids.  We really enjoyed watching the kid’s faces, before and after the make-up!  :-)

The CMs were awesome!  Full character and voice for the entire session.  When we arrived, the kids had to choose which type of “Pirate” they would like to become.  DS chose the “Cursed Pirate” and both DDs chose the “Empress”.  Then, each took a turn spinning the “Paradise” chest to determine their “Pirate” name.

Once they had a full name, they were assigned a Pirate CM to transform them into a “Pirate”.  The transformations are the real fun.  The Empress Package includes make-up, nail polish, bandana, eye patch, souvenir pouch, medallion, photo and “Pirate” language decipher codes.   The Cursed Pirate Package was the same, but included teeth.  The girls were pleasantly surprised to have their “pamper” sessions.  The Pirate CMs did a great job with the make-up and nail polish.

The girls got to keep the nail polish and lip gloss in their souvenir pouches.  Once, the make-up was finished, they took their“Pirate” oath.

Very cute!  Then, they got to venture into the private quarters of Captain Jack Sparrow.  The photos were taken inside and they had to search for their “gold”.  DS found the medallions right away!  After they checked to make sure that the Coast was clear, we exited the quarters.  We were returned to the entrance of The Pirates League.  Each new “Pirate” received their photo, “Papers” and envelope/photo frame with decipher activity.

This is a MUST DO ACTIVITY!  Call 407-WDW-CREW and make your reservations ASAP!

We enjoyed walking around Magic Kingdom® and as you can see, DS drew a lot of attention.  He kept letting everyone know that he was a “Friendly Pirate” – TOO CUTE!
